Netflix Will Release New Summer Anime The Same Day It Lands in Japan

You may have noticed how Netflix has steadily increased the pace for some of its licensed anime releases in recent years, and is now gearing up to have one of the fastest releases as one of its new Summer 2022 anime offerings will launch worldwide the same day it hits Japan. When streaming services first start licensing new anime releases, fans often dismiss the fact that it usually means that seasonal offerings will appear outside of Japan months later after the debut goes on. This often includes a full multi-language dub to wait for, but it waits anyway.

Fans have seen the service improve tremendously in recent years with the launch of new series a few weeks after their initial debut such as Blue Period and Komi Can’t Communicate, but it looks like it will be faster for Uncle from Otherworld. Scheduled for release in Japan on July 6th, Netflix’s worldwide listing for July has confirmed that it will stream on July 6th outside of Japan as well. It’s still not revealed what that means for the rest of the schedule, but we could have a broadcast like the release in our hands with this one.
