It Indiana Jones franchise, starring Harrison Ford, is perhaps one of the most popular IPs owned by Disney. With four films out and a fifth on the way, there’s no doubt that Dr. Jones has amassed a huge fan base since Raiders of the Lost Ark premiered in 1981.

Popular franchises even earn some Indiana Jones-Themed attractions at Disney Parks around the world, like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Disney World, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril at Disneyland Paris, Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull at Tokyo DisneySea at Tokyo Disney Resort, and Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Resort.

The latter has been a source of discussion for some time now, as many Guests think that the attraction is in less than good shape since Disneyland reopened its gates in 2021, after more than a year of closure due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, recently, a Guest reignited the debate around the attraction, as they believed the Mandela Effect was taking over the Temple of the Forbidden Eye with a question they had been thinking about all the time.

User u/Hectortise asked fellow Redditors and Disney fans if the snake scene in Indiana Jones Adventure was recently changed, as he believes Indiana said, snakes… I hate snakes, you’re alone on this one,” but comments that whenever he leaves, “I hate snakes” isn’t there. He asked if the phrase had ever been a hit, as he added his friends also remembered Indiana Jones lines like the one he quoted in the beginning.

I swear that Indiana jones went up in the snake section of indiana jones saying “snakes…i hate snakes, you’re alone on this one” but every time i go “i hate snakes” nothing. Did it ever exist? My friends say they remember it too

Fellow Redditors were quick to share their thoughts on the trip, such as u/kodyawilson, who commented they could have sworn Indiana Jones said “I hate snakes” too and that they should watch a YouTube ride from a few years ago to be sure.

Besides that, u/tradersam1138 commented that he’s been up hundreds of times and as far as they can remember, his lines have always been “snake… you’re alone.”

Redditor u/maxmouze added that they too have been gone for decades and he never said, “I hate snakes.” They commented that they knew this because they always thought, “Wow, you have to watch the movie to understand why he said you were alone because he never even mentioned that he was afraid of them.”

After checking some travel videos, we saw the line that Indiana Jones said at the attraction was “Snakes? You are alone,” as the Guests were ridden by a giant snake ready to attack.

Perhaps the fact that “Snake. Why a snake?” is one of the most famous quotes from Indiana Jones The franchise sparked this confusion among Guests and fans of the Disneyland franchise and attractions. However, there is no evidence that Dr. Jones said this line at Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland Park.

A few months ago, we reported on a similar situation, with Guest sparking a huge debate over the iconic line “Actually, we have 999 fun spots here, but there’s room for a thousand. Any volunteers?” uttered the Ghost Host at The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland, proving that the Mandela Effect can take over more than one attraction at The Happiest Place on Earth.

Despite this confusion, the rides remain a Disneyland Park icon, and Guests will continue to be happy to join Dr. Indiana Jones as they travel to the Temple of the Forbidden Eye in Adventureland.
