Best Netflix Original Movies Coming to Netflix Globally in August 2022
Coming to Netflix: August 12
JJ Perry directed what looked like a frankly silly but potentially very fun horror action comedy and camps with Jamie Foxx leading the cast alongside Snoop Dogg, Dave Franco and Karla Souza.
Here’s what you can expect from a sci-fi vampire movie:
“A hard-working father who just wants to provide a good life for his smart daughter, but the mediocre pool cleaning job of the San Fernando Valley is a cover for his true source of income, hunting and killing vampires as part of the international community. Vampire Hunters Association. ”
Look Both Ways
Coming to Netflix: August 17
Previously known as add lessfeature of this movie Riverdale star Lili Reinhart. It’s about a young woman named Natalie who is nearing graduation but doesn’t know which path to take so as to be able to live both during this film. In one timeline, she is living her life in her hometown, where she is pregnant and in the other, she is pursuing a career in Los Angeles.
With Netflix now having a standout library of romantic comedies, this one looks like it could go above and beyond with a truly unique concept hence why it’s one of the most we’re looking forward to for August.
Coming to Netflix: August 26
Two big Korean movies are coming to Netflix globally in August and we were having a hard time choosing which to show on this list but finally landed on Seoul atmosphere (although we still recommend checking out Cartman on August 5).
Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming action film:
“The Sanggye-dong Supreme Team racers dreaming of the American Dream are mired in a VIP slush fund investigation when they receive an offer they can’t refuse in this full-speed romp action thriller set in 1988.”
Best Licensed Movie Coming to Netflix in August 2022
These titles will only be available on Netflix in the United States, with availability in other regions varying. We’ll be featuring Uncharted again (which is pushed back from July to August) but to avoid repeating it, we’ll skip including it again here.
Spider Man Trilogy (2002-2007)
Coming to Netflix: August 1
One of two trilogies to come from Sony Pictures in early August is the Raimi trilogy which has remained beloved and relevant in the two decades since the first film was released. Many attribute films as the catalyst that made comic book adaptations the powerhouses they are today.
Spider Man, Spiderman 2, and Spiderman 3 will be joining Netflix US on August 1 (not exclusive, they also stream in multiple locations, including Hulu) and will be joining a number of Spider Man content on Netflix.

The second trilogy coming in August is the Men in Black franchise led by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
The beloved films follow a secret organization that oversees and monitors all things extraterrestrial interactions on Earth. His films are often almost insane, but that’s all part of his charm.
Good People (2016)
Coming to Netflix: August 9
Ryan Gosling recently made his big Netflix debut with The Gray Man but you’ll see him on Netflix in one of his best films ever produced in the form of The Nice Guys arriving on Netflix US in early August.
This crime-action comedy also starring Russell Crowe is about a pair of private eyes investigating the death of a porn star.
Very good (2015)
Coming to Netflix: August 11
This future comedy has become a bit of a cult hit since its release in theaters 7 years ago. It’s about a geek named Malcolm who tries to survive in a tough environment.
We should also note that Rick Famuyiwa, who wrote and directed Dope, is currently working on a new project for Netflix called After midnight.
Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, the film was a slam dunk with critics and audiences alike.
Therese Lacson from nerdophile said at the time, “Dope stands out as both a comedy and a dramatic film written about the youth who grew up in this generation”.
