This year seems to be Guillermo Del Toro’s year. The famous creator released his own dark and gruesome look Pinocchio when the film was released on Netflix in December this year. However, that wasn’t the only Netflix property the guy released. First trailer for Cabinet Curiosity here. The new series follows an anthology format, with each of the eight episodes taking on their own lives based on the vision of the director who led their own episode. The series also brings Andrew Lincoln back into the world of horror. Lincoln stars in an episode called “The Murmuring”, and we are given a first look at the trailer. You can see snippet under:

From the trailer, and hearing Guillermo Del Toro talk about this anthology series, it sounds and looks pretty twisted. It will definitely be like hers Pinocchio film. Each of these directors will show their best efforts to make episodes about pure terror and horror. We’re not sure who got the scalpel in their eyes, but that part certainly made us cringe. Andrew Lincoln appears in the episode titled “The Murmuring.” Curiosity Cabinet looks like horror version Twilight Zonein the sense.

Every episode of Curiosity Cabinet contains a pretty great cast. “Dreams in the With House” starring Rupert Grint and DJ Qualls, “Graveyard Rats” starring David Hewlett, “Lot 36” starring Tim Blake Nelson and Demetrius Grosse, “Pickman’s Model” starring Ben Barnes and Crispin Glover,” The Autopsy” stars F. Murray Abraham and Glynn Turman, “The Murmuring” stars Essie Davis and Andrew Lincoln, “The Outside” stars Kate Micucci and Martin Starr, and “The Viewing” stars Eric Andre and Peter Weller. These are just some of the amazing cast members involved in each episode of what is likely to be curdling horror.

Curiosity Cabinet will contain eight episodes, all of which have a different director helming the episodes. Most of these stories were also written by other creators, although Guillermo Del Toro also has a few that are based on stories he created. “The Murmuring” is based on an original story by Del Toro, which is also an episode starring Andrew Lincoln. Del Toro was probably a fan of the guy since his days Walking Dead. Honestly, who doesn’t? Even though Lincoln is set to return to the world Walking Dead next year, we could see him in a truly gruesome story for this new anthology series on Netflix.

Guillermo Del Toro Curiosity Cabinet will premiere on Netflix on October 25 with two episodes. Every day after that, two additional episodes will be released. The full eight episodes of the new series will be fully available on October 28, which is a great time for Halloween. Fans of Guillermo Del Toro and Andrew Lincoln will be surprised by this new horror anthology. We certainly can’t wait to see each of these episodes. Hopefully no nightmares.
